"WHITE LIGHTS" is the title of my 6th SHORT STORY
- it is fully autobiographical and covers a very real event.
As with stories #3 and #5, It is taken from the draft manuscript of
"STRAY" (the in-writing sequel to Jim Wyllie's "FLASHING
LIGHTS") while all the other stories are directly influenced by certain
chapters within the published work "FLASHING LIGHTS".
As with all these stories, they are uniquely individual - each containing a
markedly different subject matter resulting in a very different 'feel' to each
story - none moreso than "WHITE LIGHTS".
I have only recently released it as a free-to-read (pre-publication) story and
it has already garnered considerable interest in the way I have (not) marketed
it.
I explain: the marketing message in the art block for all social media
platforms states.. "The 6th and final AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL short
story.."WHITE LIGHTS".. going on to state .."I have recently
posted this new story only on Facebook ( www.facebook.com/jimwyllie98 ).
I am launching "WHITE LIGHTS" purely as a pre-publication free read
without any descriptive marketing, introductory comments or background
information - other than I clearly state that it is autobiographical.
The only way to work out why I have done this is to read it"..(JW).
'Dare to differ'!?
"WHITE LIGHTS as a true story certainly tested my writing skills to a
whole new level - It is written in the 1st person and the drama' as it unfolds,
is as seen through my eyes only.
It is without doubt the most difficult piece of work, both technically and
personally, that I have ever attempted to write.
Cheers
Jim
